Warmth is a sensation felt in many ways. We may close our eyes and look up at the bright sky and feel a ray of sun wrap around us like a baby’s blanket.
Like you did when you were young, playing in the snow, and needing that thirty seconds of warmth to fill you spirit so you could continue sledding.
We may receive a hug in our darkest hour.
Like many have received when a loved one was lost.
We may be blessed with something when there is nothing.
Like the kids at Directions for Youth & Families right here in Central Ohio – these kids expect nothing on Christmas morning but with your help and kindness they will get that feeling and in return you will too.
In 2020, our Holiday Giving campaign accomplished the following:
- A board game and a $50 Walmart gift card for the 61 children who attend the Directions for Youth & Families centers
- $20 Crimson Cup gift card for 105 DFYF front line workers, clinicians, counselors and supervisors
- Lunch from Chubby Scotty's BBQ for the front line workers at DFYF's Ohio Ave Youth Center and Crittenton Center
In 2021, the ask is greater as the number of kids and families needing our assistance has increased. We've set a donation goal this holiday season of raising $10,000 which in turn would allow us to help 100 youth center kids and many families in counseling programs. Therefore, I’m asking you to please contribute toward our 2021 Holiday Giving campaign.
If you are able, here are the instructions on how to donate:
Additionally this year, for each $10 donated, you (a 21 and over donor) will receive an entry into our Holiday Spirits Raffle which will include 15-20 bottles of booze, beer and wine in an authentic Buffalo Trace 1/2 bourbon barrel. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Parker Lee Foundation Holiday Party on 12/9 at Gallo's Tap Room on Bethel Road.
Thank you all for your warm heart and support of the Parker Lee Foundation. We hope that you and your family has a warm and celebrated Holiday Season. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
