What's this all about?

“The premise? It’s pretty simple: gather as many people as possible in one place to drink 10,000 PBRs, all while having a great time, hearing live music from some great bands, and banking money for a good cause.

Yeah, that’s right. Each and every one of those 10,000 beers is a beer for charity. And to think, some people try to tell you that nothing good comes from a night on the town.”

About the PBR10K

As a freshman at Ohio State during the 85/86 school year, I lived in Lincoln Tower on the 18th floor. It was a long, cold walk to Papa Joes in the dead of winter so our pals in Suite 1820 one February night decided to host the Old Mill 500. Mayhem ensued and the party was an absolute blast. Through the post-college years, I always thought this would be fun to try as an adult.

After years of idle suggestions to the wife that we need to host a "500," it finally happened on February 29, 2008. A bonus day on the calendar, and a Friday, so let's drink 500 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon. At 3:00 pm at Gallos Tap Room I drank the first can of PBR unaware of the craziness that would follow.

Event News Bulletin Board

On April 25, 2020 at Woodlands Backyard our 13th PBR event takes place. During the previous 12, we've hosted over 8,000 attendees who've enjoyed approximately 75,500 cans of PBRs. Most importantly, we've donated $175,900 to Central Ohio youth organizations during this time.

What's in it for you.

Attendees to each event receive complementary PBRs, food, an event t-shirt and various other swag and sponsor related items. Most importantly they spent a great day at a very fun and unique charity event.

Sponsorships are the key to our giving.

PBR10K'24 Sponsorship Opportunities

Each year we try to cover the expenses through sponsor contributions and various donations. Sponsors are provided VIP tickets, additional food options, and different swag items at the events. For these sponsorships, they are recognized on social media and the Parker Lee Foundation website as a sponsor for the PBR. If you have an interest in being a sponsor, contact us.

Auction of PBR #0001

An entertaining fundraiser to kickoff each event is the auction of the PBR #0001. Through the years we've raised $12,050 during these auctions during the event. The winning bid receives the first beer of the day, the right to kickoff the PBR10K, a classy carrying case and other PBR related swag items.

Thank you to Gallo's Tap Room, R-Bar, Three-Legged Mare and the Park Street Complex and The Shamrock Club for their hospitality in hosting previous PBR events. Without them, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Well actually, without Joe Bradley, Fudge and the boys in Suite 1820, none of this would have happened.
